<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Relevance. The sharing economy is a growing pattern of consumer behavior that relies on providing access and reusing products to exploit idle capacity. The sharing economypresents huge opportunities and significant threats to both emerging and existing businessesat the same time. The impact of the sharing economy on companies ' business models remains an area of little research. The purpose of the study is to analyze the prospects for the development of the economy of shared consumption at the present time and the possibilities of adapting companies to existing trends. The objectives of this study are to discuss two areas: (1) the unevenness and problems that arise within digital platforms for shared consumption, and (2) the deviations that go beyond them - as well as a description of the author's proposals on how to recognize the impact of the economy of shared consumption on the business models of companies.Methodology. The methodological basis of the research is the principles of objectivity and consistency of scientific analysis and synthesis, based on general scientific methods of cognition: dialectical, historical, formal – logical, structural – systematic, comparative – legal and other methods of scientific research.Results. The article is based on foreign research and a number of examples and examines the three most important blocks of the business model, which managers should pay special attention to in order to be ready to respond to the changes caused by the economy of shared consumption. The main elements of business models in the economy of shared consumption were recognized as the value proposition, profit extraction and key resources.Conclusions. Despite the fact that the concept of shared consumption is topical, considering its consequences from various points of view shows that the process of rethinking has only just begun. Faced with the constraints of resources, space, and money, we will soon find that sharing gradually modifies the way we think, our habits, and, ultimately, the ways in which goods are produced, sold, and discussed</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>экономика совместного потребления</kwd><kwd>бизнес-модель</kwd><kwd>совместное использование активов</kwd><kwd>цифровая платформа</kwd><kwd>ценностное предложение</kwd><kwd>ключевые ресурсы</kwd><kwd>цифровая трансформация</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>shared consumption economy</kwd><kwd>business model</kwd><kwd>asset sharing</kwd><kwd>digital platform</kwd><kwd>value proposition</kwd><kwd>key resources</kwd><kwd>digital transformation</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Lamberton C.
