The Growth of the Welfare of the Population as a Factor of Strengthening the Economic Security of the Region: Postcovid Perspective

Abstract
The relevance of the study is due to the need to analyze and assess changes in the level of well-being of the population under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the factors of well-being of the population of Russian regions during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to substantiate the directions of state policy that ensure the maintenance of wellbeing and strengthening of economic security of the regions.
The objectives of the study include assessing changes in indicators of population well-being in the regions of the Russian Federation, analyzing their impact on the state of economic security of territories during the pandemic, as well as determining state policy measures to maintain the level of well-being of the population.
Methodology. Research methods: method of comparative analysis, method of economic and statistical analysis, graphical method, method of systematization, systematic approach.
Results the authors revealed a decrease in the monetary incomes of the population and a change in their structure as a result of the pandemic, as well as an increase in social expenditures of the state. It is proved that as a result of the pandemic, there was an increase in social tension and a decrease in the level of economic security in most regions of Russia. The article substantiates the feasibility of implementing a set of state support measures aimed at eliminating emerging threats to the economic security of Russian regions. The scientific novelty of the study consists in identifying the dynamics of changes in the indicators of the well-being of the population in the regions of the Russian Federation, assessing their impact on the state of economic security of territories as a result of the impact of the pandemic crisis, as well as in determining the directions of implementation of state policy that ensures the maintenance of the well-being of the population of the regions of Russia in the post-term perspective and strengthening their economic security.
Conclusions. The study provided evidence of the predominantly negative impact of the pandemic on the wellbeing of the population of Russian regions, as well as the actualization of the problems of ensuring their economic security at the stage of post-crisis recovery. The article presents a set of state policy measures aimed at maintaining the level of well-being of the population and strengthening the economic security of the regions in the post-crisis perspective.
