Study of Wages of Employees of the Labor Protection Service in Organizations of the Kursk Region

Abstract
The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the use of information that reflects the real situation with offers on the labor market and the level of wages allows organizations to determine the offer when searching and hiring a highly qualified occupational safety specialist.
The purpose is to investigate the current state and trends in the level of wages of occupational safety specialists in the regional labor market.
Objectives: research of the minimum, average, and maximum wages of labor protection specialists; analysis of the dynamics of wages for a specific position; analysis of supply and demand (comparative analysis of salaries for vacancies and resumes of applicants) of a specific segment of the regional labor market; determination of the range of optimal matches of employers' proposals and candidates' requests.
Methodology. The methodological basis of the study is the process approach, as the most adequately reflecting the structure of the labor market in the form of logically related, repetitive actions in the labor market: hiring, remuneration, training and rotation of personnel, etc. The material of the study was the statistical data of socioeconomic statistics published in monthly and annual reviews, special statistics on average wages in the regions for individual professions and fields of activity.
Results. The analysis shows that there is a positive trend of growth in the average monthly nominal accrued salary of a labor protection specialist in absolute terms, but its level is lower compared to the average salary of employees in a full range of organizations in the economy of the Kursk region as a whole. The position of a labor protection specialist refers to the type of engineering activity. But the salary level of this specialist is significantly less than the level of the average salary of an engineer in production.
Conclusion. In order to ensure with a high guarantee the high motivation of the occupational safety specialist in the Kursk region to perform their functional tasks qualitatively, the salary level in this position should correspond to the level of the average salary of an engineer in production.
