Assessment of the Effectiveness of an Economic Entity in the Context of Sustainable Development of the Region

Abstract
Relevance. The relationship between the sustainable development of the regional economy and the economic sustainability of its systems, namely enterprises and organizations. The sustainable development of the region's economy depends on the economic sustainability of the enterprises that form the regional economic system. The economic stability of an enterprise is the ability of the economy to resist and prevent the impact that can lead to a decrease in production. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate both internal and external factors.
The purpose is to substantiate the role of regional development factors in assessing the effectiveness of the enterprise.
Objectives: to reveal the essence of the concept of "performance", to identify the relationship between the sustainable development of the region and the enterprise; to consider the factors of performance and the methodology of its assessment.
Methodology. When considering this topic, the following methods were used: analysis, synthesis, generalization, logical, as well as graphical methods of information processing, etc.
Results. A review of various approaches to the concept of "economic efficiency" revealed that when assessing the potential of an organization or enterprise, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the regional economy. It was revealed that the sustainable development of the region and its economic structures are closely interrelated. A methodology was proposed to assess the effectiveness of activities taking into account the regional factor.
Conclusions. Evaluation of the effectiveness of economic activity should take into account the consequences and perceived threats. To do this, it is necessary to establish a close relationship between the regions and its business structure, to evaluate the average industry indicators.
