Abstract
The relevance of the study of the mystical dominants of the human psyche is relevant for understanding the functioning of the mechanisms of human language and, at the same time, consciousness and self-awareness. It is also significant for the development of psycholinguistic methods for analyzing mental complexes, which are the sources of many neuroses accompanied by destructive behavior of the individual.
The purpose of the study is to search for the ontological and mental principles of mysticism.
Objectives ‒ conceptualization of the relationship between the ontological and psychic principles of mystical experience as a fundamental prerequisite for religion and religious consciousness.
Methodology. Using an interdisciplinary approach, the methods of critical philosophical reflection and dialectical logic analyze the relationship between the ontological and the mental in the word, which generates both fantasies and the possibility of experiencing contact with the mystified controller of thought - the spirit. The study is based on the author's concept of the formation of the sign-symbol of the face, as a consequence of the mental mechanisms of transfer and substitution.
Results. It is conceptually substantiated that the word is an ontological and psychic principle that generates both mystical experiences and religious ideas. Being a symbol of a person that implies the presence, absent in sensory experience, the spiritual controller of thought with which the subject identifies himself, the word shapes the thoughts of the subject, turning them into an object, at the same time giving rise to both various fantasies and mystical experiences. The work also demonstrates the similarity of human thought, dressed in verbal form, to the physical world, expressed in the absence of emptiness, both in material and mental space.
Conclusions. The ontological and psychic beginnings of mystical experiences lie in the mystical component of the word, associated with its involvement in the face symbol, which generates ideas about the supernatural controller of the thought process, which turns the thoughts of the subject into an object. At the same time, the logic of the study allows us to conclude that the approach of theistic psychology is relevant for the comprehension of religious and mystical experience.
